Watching the Roger Clemens interview on 60 minutes tonight was a waste of time. I was hoping that Clemens would come out and offer concrete proof, or at least some semblance of proof, to disprove the allegations from his trainer that were detailed in the Mitchell Report. Unfortunately when Clemens was asked about the Mitchell report and the accusations from his trainer the best he could muster was a little anger and “it didn’t happen” responses.

I wrote this when the Mitchell report first came out and unfortunately Clemens did nothing to change my feelings. The one question that I had hoped he would answer is what incentive McNamee would have to tell the truth about Pettite and lie about Clemens?

I am not sure why I expected more out of this interview, maybe because I didn’t want Clemens to be guilty of the accusations, but this just appears to be another Bonds situation, just with a more likable person.

According to new reports this story may not be over so let’s hope that someone tells the truth…to at least provide some closure to this mess, if for nothing else.
