Hot Blogger Calendar and Social Media for Social Change

August 26th, 2008 · 11 Comments

So I have been nominated for the Hot Blogger Calendar. I have now reached everything I have ever dreamed of and more…or not :). However, as I was trying to figure out how I could do something with this I remembered Meg Fowler and her pimping of Gradon Tripp’s Social Media for Social Change initiative. So, an idea was born…pimp myself for a cause!

Here are the details. I have signed on a few companies that will donate Ten Cents ($0.10) to Social Media for Social Change for every vote (up to 1,000 votes) I get in the Hot Blogger Calendar contest.

The Awesome companies are:

FormSpring: Online Form Building Tool

Foggy Noggin Software: Makers of the Awesome Loan Shark iPhone App and Other Cool Mac Software

Updated:

BLASTMedia: High Tech PR Firm Based in San Francisco and Indianapolis

Brainstorm: An Awesome Marketing Design Firm, and Authors of the Amazing .Think blog.

You can vote for me here, my name in the contest is Hockeyskates (my twitter profile).

UPDATED: So I have been told I need a picture to win this thing.  Apparently my logo isn’t doing the trick, so here you go. Best I could find. Note, I am the one with the long jaw and pointy teeth.

If you are a company or an individual who would like to support this cause, fill out this online form and we will link you up and get out the good word about your big hearts! Now, go vote and create social change as you do!

Will they sponsor me for a nickel? That’s right, I’m cheaper than you. Heh.

That’s no fair - you can’t come in and undercut me…

As your self-proclaimed PR Girl, I’ve made an observation; The voters are SHALLOW. They’re voting on the nominees with pictures, videos, and giveaways. That sucks. But anyway….

You have a pic up on Twitter, but not here. The calendar site links here and I doubt people are clicking through to your Twitter page or finding your gas card giveaway videos.

You need a pic. Not later or tomorrow… you need one yesterday.

It’s not about the calendar. It’s about Jane Doe Inc., right?

(Okay… so it is about the calendar. Shut up. But it’s a two-fer!)
