Rich Rodriguez took a few shots at college football fans saying:

It’s amazing some of the things that people would say [on a message board] or yell at you of a personal nature. You almost want to tell them, ‘Get a life.’

Guess what? Coach is right. I am a huge sports fan, but I know where to draw the line. Sure I might scream at the TV but when I am at a stadium or see a coach or player walking by I try to remember that I am an adult, an adult who has much bigger things to worry about than how “my” team is doing.

I’ve always looked at these rabid fans - the grown men who paint themselves up, wear ridiculous costumes,etc - and wonder at what point upon leaving their house do they think, “That is what a grown man/women should look like”?

I guess everything is about perspective, but some people need to realize that Rich Rod is right, let’s not get too serious about our sports and let’s worry about some of the things that really matter.
