Ok, so I am going into my freshmen year and I am beginning my work on my collage manuscript. I am in track, dance team, and marching band. Next year I will be in golf. I am in all advanced classes (except for geometry, but i am still a year ahead of most of my peers.) I will be taking 4 years of German and every summer I am taking an online math class so I can skip ahead a grade in math so I will be in pre-cal by my sophomore year. I have med classes at my school that i will be taking for the three years of high school that it is available for. I am in a ton of clubs such as FCCLA and NJHS (Which is made for getting you scholarships) And grades wise I think i am in the top 5% to 10% in my class. I want to get into Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore Maryland. Any tips for getting a full scholarship to the collage of my dreams?
I am planning to be a pediatric neurosurgeon. The med classes are along side of my science classes. My school provides local jobs at medical facilities for the med students.

Before giving me a lecture, please know that i HAVE to do this. If i dont, i will be sent away out of state to somewhere that i really dont want to live, so please if you are going to lecture, you will be ignored.

I have brough clothes food and water to last me a week. I live in henderson nevada. In walking distance there is a mall, various neighborhoods and golf courses, quite a few shopping complexes, and a lot of useless buildings.

Now please people, enlighten me with some tips on how to make this week go by as smoothly as possible without a house or car or anybody that gives a damn.
Im 17 years old. Im gonna have my phone with me. While im gone im going to be trying to talk my parents out of sending me away and if they dont by the time i run out of supplies, i will call the runaway hotlines. Wish me luck.

Help! I’m a 9th grade boy and my high school just added a standard dress code this year! It is way more dressy than any other school in the district or even that I’ve heard of – the local private school is more casual than this. Does anyone have any ideas about tips I can use to dress according to code and still look acceptable to my friends, the school and (sadly) my parents?

James Cooper High School Student Dress Policy
Revised 29 August 2011
All students are required to wear clothes in compliance to the school dress code policy. The
school implemented such a policy because current trends are making it more difficult to enforce student
dress. This policy will not be subject be arbitration. If a student feels that he/she cannot comply due to
medical, religious, or financial reasons, then we urge him or her to speak with the main office to avoid
getting written up.
Boys’ Dress Policy:
1. All boys are expected to wear collared shirts while on campus. This includes polo or
golf shirts, oxford button-down shirts, or similar. The shirt must be either a solid color
or striped and must be tucked into pants at all times, with belt showing underneath. Tee
shirts never acceptable.
2. Pants should be neat, clean, and hole free. Jeans, jean-like pants or pants made out of
denim are prohibited. Acceptable pant colors are khaki/tan, navy blue, or black.
3. All boys are to wear a belt with pants. It should be set to an appropriate level of
tightness such that shirt does not come untucked when holding hands straight above
head and jumping quickly. If the belt is at its tightest setting and shirt comes untucked,
you need a new belt.
4. Belts must have a standard buckle, for example, this. Other types of buckles are
prohibited.
5. No bandannas, scarfs, insignias or similar objects are allowed. Any student wearing one
will be sent to an administrative office.
6. Boys may not have any jewelery except a small watch for telling time. Cellular phones
and similar are to be turned off and kept in backpacks or lockers, NOT in the student’s
pocket.
7. Sweaters purchased from the school can be worn starting October 1st and can be worn
until the end of February. When worn with an oxford shirt, the collar button and two
others underneath it must be showing. When worn a polo/golf shirt, the collar of the
shirt must be folded over the neck of the sweater. Sweaters must extend to below the
waist, covering the belt (students must lift shirt to show they are wearing one). Shirts
must still be tucked when worn with a sweater.
Girl’s Dress Policy:
1. The girls’ dress policy is the same as the the boys’, except skirts can be worn instead of
pants (the minimum length for skirts is 3 inches below the knee). Belts do not have to
be worn with skirts, however, they must be fastened properly.
2. When wearing skirts, girls have checkered plaid as an acceptable color.
School Photos (Boys):
1. All boys must wear an oxford, button down dress shirt, and tie with dress pants and an
appropriate belt. The collar button must be buttoned. No sneakers, sandals or flip-flops.
2. Exception: First year freshman boys may wear acceptable school uniforms instead of a
shirt and tie. Repeat freshman, however, must wear a shirt and tie as stated above.
School Photos (Girls):
1. The rules are slightly relaxed regarding dress code. Girls may wear acceptable tee
shirts, oxford button down or polo/golf shirts, provided the remainder of the dress code
is followed. Shirts do not have to be tucked in unless it is designed to be worn that way.
2. Girls may wear pants or skirts. Pants must be worn with belt. Skirts must be
appropriate length (3 inches below knee).
School Dances:
All school dances are semi-formal. This means students must be dressed in semi-formal attire
to be admitted. For boys, this a minimum of an oxford, button down dress shirt, and tie with dress
pants and an appropriate belt. Girls must wear an acceptable dress or blouse and skirt. Specific dances
may have their own requirements, however these are the minimums.
Although everyone is technically supposed to wear the same thing, there are no brand or logo limitations so all my friends wear Aeropostale, but I can’t afford that so my uniform clothes are always inexpensive stuff. Even the khakis you can tell what brand they are. The only thing that everybody wears that’s the same are the sweaters which everyone just started wearing. I need survival tips on what to do so my friends think I look cool.
