Ok guy’s, been using this method for a couple of months now. I was a excellent ball striker to start with my irons but my driver lacked consistency. I wasn’t looking for length but I sought after a smooth repeatable swing that i could trust when the difficulty was on. I am striking all my shots straight now and my driver is 35 yards longer with less try. pay attention to the grip it’s key to this swing. Thanks Ron you’re a star!!!
And a general statement to all beginners, if you are going to reflect about that stuff, only do it at the driving range. Practice enough until it becomes following nature, then you wont have to reflect about it at the course.

Me too, but if the driver not working, I will hit 3 wood. I feel better after a sweet shot than a excellent mis-hit. You are a scratch golfer if you shoot par, so you know what I mean.
@sparwood8 Well, i preffer to hit my driver on every hole(unless they are too small for it) when my driver is on, i only miss 1 or 2 fairways(only by a few feet). If u are ar a 320yd hole you could hit two 8irons if you really want. i’d hit driver still.BUT, you can just hit no matter what fits ur game and no matter what you are most comfortable with.

@ADAIVl That’s unusual, unless you are just referring to your woods. My best percentages off the tee are with my 3 wood. So I give up 18 yards. So long as I am a 7 iron out, I don’t sweat the yardage off the tee.
I still go with the Huge D … 11 deg loft though
@sparwood8 doesnt matter what you hit off the tee as long as it is playable, but my driver is normally my most accurate club.

First time I broke 80 I used a 3 wood off the tee. Longest drive maybe 270, average 255-60

I can break 70… thanks anyways… but if u hit ur driver out of bounds the 14 times add up all the penaltie shots.. its a lot… From my experience driving and putting is the most vital, because when i never miss the fairway with my driver i shoot around par. when i miss the fairway all the time it is very discouraging, but u must make it up around the green by putting excellent.

My longest ever = 319. handful around 298-301. Average 265-280. If you try and remember all that stuff you won’t swing smooth. Just hit the ball.

I broke 80 same year I got that book.
If you can be 3 over on par 3 golf, you should be able to break 80 if you never hit anything over 240. Once in a while, leave your Driver in the car trunk and hit 3 wood off the tee.
Driving Range, Practise with your 5 and 7 irons, do drills. Most hit the whole bucket w the driver. You only hit 14 drives a round. + 4 par 3′s. where the other shots come from?

Reverse C’s are hard to fix. Drive will look like a giant 6 iron, maybe 220 instead of 275

i’m going to have to disagree with this method. this driver information will have people doing reverse c’s, topping drives, and pull/pull hooking shots all day long. every single fantastic driver of the ball shifts his hips forward a excellent 6 in. and gets momentum going laterally on the downswing. the head stays back, hips go forward.
