Well, my daughter is only 3 years ancient, so she’s not at the list making stage yet, but it is a excellent thought…

I have all the shopping done for my daughter already: She’s getting:

-V-Smile V-Motion TV Learning System with a few games ($100)
-Leapfrog Leapster 2 Handheld system with a few games ($110)
    -Cranium Hullabaloo game ($17.99)
    -Fisherprice Loving Family Dollhouse ($129.99)
-You And Me Too Cute Twins dolls ($34.99)
-some small stuff like books, DVDs clothes ($100 ish, I’ll probably spend more here and here as I see stuff up until Christmas…)

So I spent less than $500, it’s not terrible seeing that these are all her presents from her father and I as well as from Santa…

my 11 year ancient son wantts a lego set. $300, a whittling knife $20, and some books

  • mom:

    I plotting I was conception a receipt

Really I usually try to spend the same amount on each kid so as everything is honest. I just reflect that it is better to grow up thinking your parents like both of the kids equally.

Wow equipment are cheaper where you are. The Wii costs about $400 in Australia and that is only with one controller and numchuck.
My son wants lego and books (9 years ancient) and PS2 games. That is all he has really mentioned.
My daughter(also 9) wants a bug catcher, crafts, beado’s, games, and a few other equipment.

They are not too fussy what they get and appreciate everything.
